Mohammed Ali is known in horse racing circles as the ‘Scientist’. In February 1992, for a college statistics assignment, he decided to find out whether the win dividend of a favourite horse and any relationship with its ability to win a race. Before he began the assignment he knew for a fact that the favourite wins 28 per cent of the time as this information was readily available through most big betting agencies. The win dividend for a favourite could range from less than $1 and going as high as $5.60 at times. However the average win dividend for a favourite was only $1.94, which shows that fewer high paying favourites win.
He knew there had to be a way to increase the win percentage by finding out why certain favourites won while others lost. With this in mind he statistically analysed racing data to find out if there was any relationship with the win price dividend and the number of times the favourite horse won.
What he found was that by selecting favourites with win dividends from $1.6 - $2.5 he could increase his winning chances to 48%!
He then spent three years analysing actual races as they occurred and by developing a set of rules managed to increase his win rate to an astonishing 89.52%.
His system can be applied to any race in the world and has extensively been used in America, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and Hong Kong.
The amazing thing is that you do not need any prior horse racing betting or statistical knowledge and the system takes only 10-20 minutes a day to use on any race.
